Dad, daughter and baby Abby enjoying her first bush walk…although not sure how much she saw
We spent nine glorious months exploring the vast continent of North America and every day discovered many beautiful places while enjoying an endless stream of adventures. But our growing family drew us home, back to our base camp in Sydney where we reveled in the joy and love of our new granddaughter – beautiful little Abby.
Our seven weeks in Australia flew by, spending as much time as possible with baby Abby and her loving parents Anna and Carl but also finding time to catch up with other friends and family, deal with some admin issues and spend time at our rural property on the other side of the Blue Mountains.
Four generations – the lineage of Abby’s new family couldn’t stop smiling before she even left the hospital
The boys also had time to do an epic bush walk along the Great Dividing Range – a great experience
Spectacular views in all directions – this one down into the Wolgan Valley
Ultra-light backpacking equipment meant we could move faster and explore new territory – all of it offtrack while totally relying on our GPS
Its all about family – Julie enjoyed a special lunch with her four sisters
And its also about friends – Bill and Peter raised a glass on a fun night of stories and laughter
Abby also enjoyed her first visit to our rural property, escorted by her family bodyguards
Uncle Zach spent time playing with Abby in the shed
Chick bait – the mighty PSR runners enjoy an ocean swim after a long run on Friday mornings
Meanwhile, back in California our new Ford F250 truck begins its transformation journey to carry our faithful camper
And our truck’s bed gets a free ride back to our California home base for long term storage
